Club Membership?
Posted by Martino @ Tue Apr 08, 2008 10:47 am
Hi Folks, I wonder if someone on here can help me out.
I posted a GMCC membership form to Tricia Grigor more than 2 weeks ago. So far I have heard nothing back.
I've tried calling the number on the membership form both day and night time but have got no answer.
Is Tricia still dealing with club memberships or should I speak to someone else?
Thanks for your help.
Martin.

Autos to 125's wanted to be on telly?
Posted by Elginboxer @ Mon Apr 07, 2008 10:24 pm
Autos to 125's want to be on telly
I know it's very short notice especially with the forthcoming Scottish Youth round at HMXC this weekend but I'm looking for a few child riders that would be able to attend the Moray College car park at the rear of the college off Hay street this coming Saturday between 10.00-10.45am to further display their disgust at the proposed closure of local test centres.
All you kids have to do is turn up and sit in front of 300 or so adult bikers and then watch yourselves on STV on Monday, you'll only have to be present for around an hour. PLEASE SHOW YOUR SUPPORT
If you can help contact Barry on 01343 540185 or mail me for more details Woodsidemx@aol.com

All help needed click [HERE] for more.
Any riders up to school person 125 can help believe you me when you're riding to Inverness or Aberdeen on your hydrogen cell fuelled bike in 3 to 10 years time for your test you'll regret not showing up this Saturday.

Gates to be closed
Posted by Elginboxer @ Mon Apr 07, 2008 10:23 pm
GATES TO BE CLOSED.
Unfortunatly due to more used needles being found within the carpark area amongst other reasons the desicion has been made to ensure the gates are kept closed.
Keys will be handed out to club members at the next meeting on the 27th of April. We would appriciate if you all close the gate when leaving the track irrelevent of who is still within the confines of the track if they are members and for whatever reasons don't have a key then they will have a number for someone who has a key.
This is very regrettable but the committee feel there is no other alternative.

Beware
Posted by Elginboxer @ Wed Mar 05, 2008 9:41 pm
Hi all,
Just a quick e-mail to warn you about someone called Mark Shaw in your area who you may encounter on the offroad scene.
Mark Shaw, or shaws mx team or I now gather Sutherland Mx Club, has left a trail of bad debts around the industry including ourselves. I would strongly recommend that if this man endeavours to get goods from you, that you think long and hard about the risk potential, and look for payment up front in cash.
Our industry could do without this type of customer, and hopefully if we can close his avenues for fraud he will look to find another hobby in another industry, if you know of anyone dealing with this criminal, please also warn them too.
In the mean time thank you for your continued support and all the best for 2008
Regards,

ROUND 1 TO PETE MITCHELL.....GMCC & NORTH EAST AREA .
Posted by TEAMTOAD @ Mon Mar 03, 2008 9:00 am
Pete Mitchell, 3 starts 3 wins in the A Group..........convicingly, wot a boy. 2nd spot went to Gavin Roberstson with Sean Macdonald in 3rd, not all the A group showed the same flair due to the demanding nature of the Woodside Circuit after a heavy night of rain.
However the circuit did stand up well to the punishment administered by the full entry of riders, well done the GMCC Stalwarts, lots o work, well appreciated by all.
The B Group saw Young Richard Kirk take 2 convincing wins on his 125 KTM in race 1 and 2 followed by a 4th in race 3, still enough to give him overall victory ahead of Kevin Milne, 14 points adrift, closely followed by Jordon McMillan.
The C group saw only 4 points seperate the top 3 with 15 Year old John Kirk taking race wins in race 2 and 3, however this was only good enough to give him 3rd overall behind William McKenzie with Gary Alexander taking top spot.

Kenny Sutherland Flies Past John Barron In Race 1 On His Way To 3RD Spot.
The 125/250 s/b race saw another maximum man in the form of Clinton Duff, 3 starts, 3 wins, leaving Allan Shields to take 3 runner up placings , well ahead of Gavin Clunie in 3rd spot. Like all other classes, the 125 Group were well supported @ the Grampian Club's first Championship event of 2008.

DAVID CLARKSON........FLYIN HIGH.......
The big wheeled 85's saw Lossie Loon Josh Craig also take 3 race wins in his class ahead of Ian McKenzie with 3 runner up spots ahead of Alex Mitchell in 3rd spot.

Kierran McCarrol and Shannon Maclean

3 abreast in the sand......
The small wheeled 85's saw Visitor Fraser Pohlen take 3 wins ahead of Invernessian Ian Findlay with Kierran McCarroll in 3rd , all KTM mounted........... well done lads.

Ian looking de WRONG way.......duh.
In the 65's it was Ash Darling from Aberdeen who came out on top ahead of local rider Kieran Hunter, 5 points down, with Ben Edwards consistant rides giving him 3rd spot overall.

Daniel Irvine blasts thru the sand.

oops........that sand is very tricky..........
The New extended Auto track saw 9 young hopefulls line up ready to do battle. Aiden Campbell of Inverness took race wins in race 1 and 2 with a second spot in race 3, enough to secure the overall victory ahead of fellow Invernessian Finlay Retson with two 2nds and his first ever race win in race 3 giving him 2nd overall, only 3 points adrift of top spot. Lewis Dow managed to stay ahead of the oposition to nail 3 third spots, well done one n all.
A great days racing laid on by GMCC , enjoyed thoroughly by all, thanku to all officials for their commitment to the sport,
C U All soon

Dode.........................

Well today saw a good turnout of workers although we will never turn anyone away.
And today also saw a future quad champion taking to the track so all you guys on 4 wheels beware this year as "Souped up Shirley Hunter" looks like being a real threat
