The container at woodside has been broken into, the clubs two new strimmers are gone, Barry's genny and my water pump, keep your eyes and lugs open you might just get word of the scumbags trying to sell the stuff. Evil or Very Mad

O.K. We have made the big effort in getting Woodside looking great.
Lets keep it that way!
I'm going to Woodside tomorrow night and before my sons practice we are going to pick up rubbish, a hand would be fine, will be there from around 6pm, reckon a half dozen bodies and it will be mint again in about 30 minutes.

Quite a lot around the hostility tent, must have been all those who abused it Rolling Eyes

Need everybody who played a part in sorting Woodside out at the next club meeting (Monday July 5th at the Laichmoray) make sure you smell fresh!, and have paid your membership, it will take a while, and I need a run hame!.

Could you put an alert out about thieves in the area again. I had both my Bikes stolen from a locked garage last night (in Banchory). The thieves also disabled the security lighting. The bikes were an orange ’09 KTM 250EXC 2stroke (AE09MVC) and a white and black Honda XR400 (P51HAY). The XR has a new ‘Blackbird’ seat cover and a motocross style rear mudguard.

The KTM has a powerparts low seat fitted and has black number backgrounds fitted, 1 of the fork bleeders is also missing. Any info appreciated.

TRACK OPEN DUE TO BEC POSTPONEMENT

Hi Folks,
As I'm sure most of you will know the club are hosting the second round of the British Enduro Championship over the Easter weekend and as such the track will be closed as of 8.00 pm Saturday the 27th of March. This is obviously to allow us to prepare the special test at Woodside which utilises the track and the surrounding area.

Statement by GMCC on Woodside Track – 1st March 2010

Unfortunately Moray Council have intimated to us verbally, that at some point this year we are to be given in writing, three (3) months notice to temporarily vacate Woodside.

This is to allow for the Elgin Flood Alleviation works to be carried out. They have also intimated that on completion we may have the opportunity to renew our lease.

At this moment we have not been given an accurate timescale on completion of these works. We are currently meeting with Council officials to verify the position.

We will fulfil our racing commitments for 2010 and will keep all members informed of the situation via the clubs website.

The club and its members are fully committed to the long term provision of off road motorcycling in the Elgin area, at Woodside or elsewhere.

For the time being Woodside remains open for use as normal.
